The TAIFUN series is a turnkey test bench solution and is based on a modular drive and automation concept that offers the greatest flexibility and highest test quality.

The TAIFUN test is developed for the testing of

  • electric motors
  • powertrains and
  • combustion engines

Standard configurations:

In the course of the electrification of powertrains the electric motor is of highest importance. The use in the automotive sector requires compact designs with high power densities. High speed ranges cause enormous thermal stresses, so the robustness of the motors is a major challenge for the future.

The electrified powertrain is an important component of future sustainable mobility. The increased demands on performance and reliability require sophisticated solutions, especially in the powertrain. To optimise the development process with regard to dynamics, vibration and acoustics, our TAIFUN Powertrain programme offers a standardised, modular structure. For future and new test requirements in the powertrain, additional measurement and software solutions can be easily integrated.

Combustion engines that run on hydrogen, e-fuels or in hybrid operation will also retain their importance in powertrain technology for the future. In addition, the new Euro 7 standard stipulates that emissions must be further reduced and new pollutant limits defined. These emission-reducing measures must be applied across the entire engine map and, if necessary, also across a wide temperature field. Here, too, the TAIFUN series offers all the possibilities of the integrated and modular test bench platform.
